Male and female saplings needed to grow into fruit bearing trees, 15 ft tall after 5 years. One male upwind(or in Center of circle)to 5-7 females.
Thorny branches, very hardy to -40deg F to + 110 deg F. Needs Sandy soil., south facing, rhizomes will spread and “hold “ soil in a slope.
Good for a hedge( thorny). Male leaves used in herbal tea.
